Troubled Eyes

Butterfly Wings, the endA week passed. Molly still did not have school. She spent most of her days reading or pondering. Sometimes she would be out with her father. She was just a normal girl now, happy, cheerful, kind, and a little shy. She had quite a few friends at school, but only a few of them saw her during these weeks. I, myself, was very happy, and so was Chester. We were just happy to see Molly was a normal ten year-old girl.   
New Years Eve had just ended. It was midnight now a new year was here. Molly lied on her bed, her eyes still open. She had just finished her little New Years celebration with her father and now lied there with a reflective Butterfly Wings, the end

Butterfly Wings, innocent kissAs dessert was being passed around, Matthew finally spoke, “You’re very pretty,” he whispered in the girl’s ear.   
“Thank you,” she whispered back. I could see that she wondered something, I could not tell if she merely wondered why they were whispering, or if she wondered why it took him so long to say something.   
“I like your bow,” Matthew said softly.   
“You’re sweet,” Molly stated. She turned to the boy and gave him a little hug. His face turned a handsome cherry colour. He wrapped his arms around the older girl.

Butterfly Wings, talk with dadSoon the car pulled into a parking lot near a small eatery. “First we need to warm you up with some hot chocolate,” he said.   
“Papa Mary’s office wasn’t that cold.” Molly stated.   
“Yes, but it is cold outside.” Her father answered. He left the car and walked around to Molly’s side. The girl put a little snow hat on her head and took me with her as she took her father’s hand. He pulled her out of the car and closed her door behind her. After which he guided her into the eatery. The pair of them sat down at a table and he ordered two hot chocolates for them. New Project!

I would like to formally announce that I have started a new project. I'm not quite finished with 'Butterfly Wings', but I'm close so I decided to go ahead and start this one. So far it is interesting. It is about a girl named Sato Kita who lives with a curse (I'm not telling who what the curse is, you'll have to read the story to find out). The curse has caused her a lot of problems though and makes her different from everyone else. The primary aim of the story is really just to tell a good story, but there is a second purpose which is to show how modern society treats people who are different and how that affects them.

The story is currently entitled 'Mark of the Curse' and I will be posting illustrations and excerpts from it starting soon. I am not sure what it will be rated, but I doubt it will go over a FictionRatings.com 'T' rating, we will see though.
